I want to put this in a cheap frame and use it in my first grade classroom! Students can write a nice message to a peer (or awesome field student teacher) and pass it on. The student who receives it will proudly display the frame and message on their desk for the day before passing it on to a peer and writing a message (an authentic way to practice writing!)
I think this is a great way to build community. I have seen this done in a classroom that I observed and it was very successful! The students loved receiving it, I just would put in an added part that you can not just simply pass it on to a friend, you must try to pick someone you have observed doing some random act of kindness!
